The India Medical Association (IMA) has criticised the National Medical Commission (NMC) over mandatory generic drug prescriptions demanding wider consultation be done before implementation takes place. Around 30 medical colleges across the country have lost recognition over the past two months allegedly for not following standards set by the National Medical Commission (NMC), official sources said on Tuesday.
